world body of athletics, awarded their first three official
system certificates to CONICA. Today, CONICA is the world•s
leading manufacturer of synthetic Athletic track systems.

range of Sport Surfaces in Athletics, Basketball,
Volleyball, Badminton and Multi-purpose Sport Surfaces
across the face of Southern Africa.

Our particular achievements include:
• We constructed & achieved the very first & only
IAAF Class 1 Athletics
Track for South Africa in December 2012 to date, the
Mangaung Athletics Stadium in Bloemfontein. A Class 1
Athletic Track conforms to IAAF international standards and
is a certification to recognize international records
achieved on this track.
• We constructed & achieved
the first IAAF Class 2 Athletics
Track for South Africa in December 2005, the Coetzenburg
Athletics Stadium in Stellenbosch. A class 2 track conforms
to IAAF standards for national events.

Industries grew and achieved in Gabon, Libreville at the
Complex Omnisports President BONGO ONDIMBA Stadium another
IAAF Class 2 Certificate in October 2006; then again in
October 2009 for the University of Johannesburg • Auckland
Park; another in September 2010 for the University of
Johannesburg • SOWETO Campus
• CK Industries then
beat world contenders and installed multi-purpose sport
surfaces for the largest sport development project of its
time in Africa, the Olympic Youth Development Centre (OYDC)
in Lusaka, Zambia • a project that was funded by the IOC
(International Olympic Committee).
